I considered creating “blog rules” or “list of boundaries”, but I’m not sure if it’ll work on my blog 🤔 My header is pretty oversaturated as it is - portfolio, tags, navigation and so on; if I add rules to the pile, something tells me ppl won’t even look at it 💥 + I didn’t have specific issues with anyone yet (as far as I’m aware), I might create a list if something happens, but stayin hopeful for now

There’s certain things that do make me very uncomfortable/are triggering to me. But again didn’t have any specific issues where it was a huge problem + those stuff are highly personal to me to just put publicly. For now, I prefer to resolve issues personally, there wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle at this point 🫡 Mayhaps in the future it may change, we’ll see

Just went down the Reddit rabbit hole, and found this sub aside from the main acotar sub- non toxic Acotar? Lmao, I think I just found out what the "non toxic" refers to- it is just a community for Feyre/Rhysand Stans to sit in their little echo chamber and spout misinforming crap about Tamlin/Nesta and Lucien sometimes....

There’s a deleted scene in season 2, episode 8 where Colin takes of Penelope’s fake ruby necklace and calls it beautiful

Before the wedding in season 3, episode 7 Colin is approached by a sex worker called Ambrosia, who he declines business with. It turns out its a bet between Ambrosia and Fife.

A weird trend I've noticed (at least among Twitter show to book first timers) is quite a few of them hating show Rand in s1 but loving him immediately when reading Eye of the World. Which is kinda bizarre to me? Especially considering how they aged him up in the show and he's way more mature than he is the books. And I adore book Rand he's my favorite character in the entire series and glad more people are liking him. But makes me feel more protective of show Rand cause he also deserves the love!

I think the reasons though are cause showwise we can't see inside his head so people who didn't like him in s1 see where he's coming from when reading the book since they see his thoughts? Idk

that's so rude!!! i would guess it's because s1 rand expresses anger (and expresses anger towards female characters lmao) much more than eotw rand, who is just kinda quietly vibing and drinking his milk and being wholesome and keeping most of his negative emotions in his head because he's too polite to express them aloud (which obviously can't work in a visual medium). overall, according to my vague memories of eotw, i'd say that s1 rand is a much stronger personality than eotw rand, which makes him a more dynamic and interesting character but at the same time puts him at higher risk of rubbing people the wrong way than Untoasted White Bread Blank Slate Boy aka eotw rand haha

and the maturity increase is similar. in eotw, mat is immature in a way that most people find grating and unlikable, and so most people agree that he unequivocally benefits from the show's maturity increase. but rand in eotw is less "immature" and more "naive", he's immature mostly in a sweet and endearing way, and so maybe this group of readers doesn't care that he's acting more like a tween (or even a straight-up child at times) than the young adult he's supposed to be, they just find him Cute And Baby, and meanwhile they find s1 rand rude and unlikable because he has more serious problems and reacts more seriously to said problems (thinking mostly in terms of his relationship with egwene here - a certain subset of viewers hate s1 rand for having his own feelings & opinions in the relationship rather than being 100% fine with getting dumped in ep1 and then 100% happy to jump back into egwene's arms like nothing happened in ep2 when she wants to reverse her decision, so i could imagine they like him more in eotw when his problems with egwene are mostly silly and childlike and treated comedically by the narrative, as opposed to legitimate conflicts in an established long-term romantic relationship which the narrative takes seriously)

but if you don't love rand at his throwing a tantrum at moiraine in s1, then you don't deserve him at his going to get a glass of milk at midnight and spitting it out in surprise upon running into a fade! i can only imagine that these people are going to start hating book rand in later books once he stops being Untoasted White Bread Blank Slate Boy and starts developing a stronger personality and rougher edges lmao

(also, all this is not to say that rand's eotw softness doesn't come across in the show, because it absolutely does! i think s1 rand is on the one hand angrier and more volatile than eotw rand (which gets him hate in spaces like twitter and tumblr among those who deem any male character who isn't nice and agreeable 100% of the time Trash) yet simultaneously he's also more openly affectionate & tender and more of a homebody (which gets him hate in spaces like reddit among those who deem any male character who isn't a badass power fantasy 100% of the time Lame))

So the past few days I've been working on the world map again and I. Welll I've run into a problem. A big problem

And ummm. errr. I never really considered something important. How big the thing hitting it is.

That box you might be able to see is 'another planet'. In order to fit the size of the crater it has to be. fucking. huge. Like possibly ten times the size huge. However the fact things squash i assume the crater wouldn't be perfectly round so it would maybe be wierd and flat.

However either way this is so. So much. How is gravity affected? Tectonically a lot of time is implied to have passed so what would even happen then.

However i like the idea of enormous deep crater because as sloppily modelled in the second pic, i had an idea. Marianas trench is what, 10 km deep? Imagine the depth of this thing being even 1% of the planets diameter (its a bit smaller than earth) and therefore. Imagine the insane pressure.

And therefore what is at the bottom.

I need to show this to some reddit nerds for them to tell me 100 reasons this wouldn't work and is completely ridiculous

Anyway that's cool and all. but it gets cooler. or maybe hotter. Since the crater is coincidentally on the bright side of this tidally locked system (Its a moon so it still has day and night but largely only one side gets most of the sunlight) and the way the seasons on it work is that it has an elliptical orbit that gets further and closer to the sun every 'year'.... What if the difference in sunlight and heat... melts the giant ice spot every year. causing a seasonal tide system where its real high in summer and low in winter. oh yeah. think about it. seaside towns at water level in summer and high on cliffs in winter.... seasonal islands and paths... ooouuurgghhh....

Though it wouldn't actually work I'm pretty sure. Because the pressure would make it stay ice anyway. BUT. Its reasonable sounding enough right? You'd believe it and think I understand science if I put this in my worldbuilding right. You also think plausible seasonal ice spot tide is more important than full realism. Yes you do.

Anyway probably the bigger problem is that I've envisioned the like, lowland of the crater being a flat, wet jungle that has a delta on one point of it. And ummm. Errr. I dont think the edge of the crater is flat. Not at this scale at all.

I was having trouble visualising this from an individual perspective though. What would it look like to actually be on the crater? How would the curvature work? So of course I used the finest tech to envision this.

i wanna yap about law of assumption for a bit, since it's something i've followed off-and-on since like 2019

What is the law of assumption?

it's NOT the same as a the 'law of attraction'. it has nothing to do with vibration/energy/frequencies. law of assumption mainly states that "when persisted, your assumptions will harden into fact, and then mirror out into your 3D world."

ex: if you have an assumption that it's difficult to make money, or you must work hard to make money, or that you're 'bad' with money, then that will be your experience.

The law of assumption also states that our subconscious is our creative power and that anything we imagine = we can have/we ALREADY have.

How does LOA work with manifestion/shifting/etc?

Okay, so I'm gonna show you the secret formula, mr. krabs. This reddit post is a really good one, but I'll break it down even further. If our imagination is the only reality, our consciousness, then that's what is real. Everything else (3D) is a dream + a reflection of old beliefs.

👍Manifesting works like this: Have a desire + go into your imagination (4D) + enjoy the feeling/happiness of having your desire + 'return' to the 3D and know that your desire is yours and has no choice but to show up = desire shows up in 3D like a cherry on top of a sundae.

yeah, basically. I've manifested every single place I've lived in like perfect apartments that were affordable for me. I manifested getting fired from a job (lmao. Lmao I saw the way Courtney was acting towards Spencer on stream and immediately knew there would be at least one ask here about it. Some people just will never let it go.

Since we're talking about body language, I wanted to say that if you watch Courtney closely she has a habit of grabbing onto people she sits next to, and as 3D pointed out, she does it to Keith and Noah all the time. I specifically remember a point in the "Magic School Bus Reunion" vid where Noah says something funny and Courtney straight up grabs his THIGH, which is usually seen as a sexual advance at least here in America, and Noah has a girlfriend! Courtney grabbing on Spencer's shoulders is incredibly inconclusive.

Also, again, as 3D pointed out, the fact that Shayne is the only one she isn't touchy with despite them being MUCH closer(even if you don't believe they're dating, there is INDISPUTABLE proof of Courtney wearing Shayne's clothes constantly) is honestly way more suspiscious. I've noticed typically when Shayne tells a joke and Courtney is sitting next to him she has a habit of leaning on him when she laughs instead. Her hands also tend to seize up like she's preventing herself from grabbing at him. You can see this a lot in the SIMS stream they did like 2 months ago.

(Also, PS, I saw somebody try and debunk the whole clothes thing once by suggesting that maybe Courtney was just wearing Shayne's hand-me-downs. However, Courtney was caught wearing Shayne's ASU sweatshirt, an item that I couldn't imagine him giving away if it still fit him, and sure enough he was wearing it again in a Reddit Stories Vid like within the past 3 months I think, months after Courtney was caught wearing it.)

they did a good job with tuvix. he was likable (until the end), he had mannerisms of both characters, it was really great. like, the ethical debate would not have worked if tuvix was just horrible and unsettling

AND THEY ACTUALLY DID ACT, IS THE THING. like janeway confessing to kes how she struggles with grief and hopelessness, kes coming to janeway's office in tears, THIS WAS ACTED. you REALLY genuinely felt their pain it was great character stuff for them both. janeway was lost without tuvok to ask for guidance and kes was lost without neelix AND tuvok like GOD

personally i think the deciding factor was tuvix's decision to involve kes - it was unfair to come to her for help, and especially sad when they'd worked so well within her boundaries before

the other thing is of course that neelix and tuvok arent alive inside this guy as he argues, theyre essentially TRAPPED inside this guy. two lives > one life, unfortunately for him

REmake is a special case because like

when it came out, it was the only RE remake that capcom ever intended to fund, create, or release. so it kind of made sense for them to go "okay, we rewrote and remade RE1, so this is now the definitive version of it."

but the current set of remakes that are out and coming out were and are individual entries in a greater project that capcom's producing. so it's not really the same thing.

like you have to keep in mind that RE9 started production in late 2017. it would be absolutely fucking bonkers for RE9 to try to be faithful to the remakes, because new ones have been greenlit and built during RE9's dev cycle, so the RE9 team would have constantly had to change and refine their story in order to fit with all the changes that the remakes were making to the past stories/characters/lore.

this is why you should think of OG and the remakes as being two separate timelines. from a purely developmental standpoint in terms of how games are actually made, it'd be untenable to assume that everything is canon all at once. it'd be a fucking nightmare. if for no other reason than the sake of the developers' sanity, i'm sure that the RE9 guys are only pulling on the OG games.

this is also why capcom has apparently been talking about remaking RE1 again. there's no reason to do that for the OG games -- but it'll service the remake timeline and keep everything bundled nicely together in one separate package.

Dream of a Space Timeline Split

This is a weird one

I had a dream last night. The dream was that a version of me went to space in a rocket ship and something bad happened. Apparently, he flew too close to a black hole or something and suffered from some serious time dilation (in the dream, this was referred to as a “perhexelion”). This caused a split in the timeline where 2 versions of me now exist at the same time in the present.  One was stuck in a time loop in space and had aged several years (referred to as “future me” ) and other existed on Earth before going on the rocket ship (referred to as “past me” or “POV me” since I was experiencing the dream from this version’s POV).

So from my POV, in my dream, I woke up, looked at the news and saw that a future verison of me had gone on a rocket ship to space, experienced time dilation/”perhexelion” and was now stuck in space/a time loop and was also older (so my dream has lore now lmao).

NASA had this cool telescope that they were using to show everyone future me’s predicament and was considering sending a rescue mission but were unsure if future me was even technically alive in the time loop.

The more surreal experience was seeing people on Reddit meme on Future Me’s predicament. A popular conspiracy theory was that future me was somehow responsible for the incident (I didn’t believe that but I had no proof to dispute it since I had no memories of what exactly happened to future me). Some people made memes like “lmao, imagine this guy being stuck in a time loop and getting older, probably hoping that when he gets rescued, he comes back several years later and is able to play GTA6 or TES6. Imagine how disappointed he’d be when he comes back to the present and learns no time had passed for us. So he got older and waited for nothing lmao”.

I said a lot of nice things about Simone that people overlook because I said I thought it was weird she wasn’t booking quickly, good lord. As for liking Siena? J did like her in s1, but I have plenty of comments stating I wouldn’t want her back for 3. I think the actress who played her did a good job 🥴. I’m not a fan of either of them, as in, I don’t follow their careers and only know about what’s posted on fauxmoi or something like that. Do I HAVE to be a super fan of Simone? As for Cynthia, what have I said about her? lol I don’t really know anything about her other than she can sing. She also had her own affair scandal, but I know little of it. Also I never said JB carried the show on his back. I said I preferred his performance and I thought he was great. And I said Simone did a good job. Again, why do we have to be fans of both? listen I haven't been on reddit for many months and I don't remember having beef with a particular person because I was disgusted by pretty much the majority of people. Re: the poly relationship anon and the Reddit thread that mentioned Marius being in a relationship with Pandora, Bianca AND Armand at the end of the series lmao I think I have an idea as to how they might’ve reached that conclusion. It's worth noting though that I think it's a gigantic reach and not really what Anne meant when writing about Marius’ interactions with any of these characters in the last trilogy but let's see... I remember Marius referring to both Pandora and Bianca as his “wives” at some point (perhaps even in the same time?) in the PL trilogy, and it’s clear his relationship with both of them is romantic in nature and in great terms by the time the series ends. Bianca pursued him pretty relentlessly, Pandora is always referred to as his love/his great love and Marius is extremely pressed when she gets back together with Arjun + everything that happens with Arjun later on, etc. Armand isn’t involved in any of this mess (for once) beyond snatching Daniel back at some point during RoA. His relationship with Pandora is pretty much nonexistent, and even his relationship with Bianca is left incredibly unexplored post-Venice (a crime, obviously). The relationship between Armand and Marius is strained/tense at best, explosive at worst (even though the love is there, will always be there), but as we all know by the end of the series Marius feels confident about them finally being able to have a conversation and Armand's heart being "open" to this happening. We never see said reunion/conversation but if said Reddit person interpreted all of this as them getting back together romantically (which again, I don't think it's even on the table for these two right at the end of the series, and realistically it's going to be a long road for them in terms of being able to have a healthy relationship) and THEN added Marius' situationship with both Pandora and Bianca... then I guess you have a poly relationship scenario, sort of? lmao it's the only way it kinda makes sense but even then they're reaching for the stars.

You're extremely right when you say that in terms of "endgame" couples (or as endgame as it can be under these circumstances), Louis/Lestat is the only ship that could be defined in those terms, given how explicitly their reunion/romantic interactions were made. It's said that Armand and Daniel reunited and Daniel ended up moving into TG to live with him but as far as we know, they could be living together as vampire pals (the mere thought of this is fucking hilarious tho imagine them going through all of that just to be roommates djshkjssk). Just like for all we know, the relationship between Louis and Armand might have been entirely platonic while they lived together at TG. Just co-parenting. Conscious uncoupling kings!

Yeah it's a huge reach lmao Like it says Armand's heart is open to a conversation with Marius and I personally read that as a conversation where they could attempt to heal the rift between them over Marius giving up on rescuing him from the cult/making Benji and Sybelle against his will. It's funny because I'm so so SO down bad for them in the Venice years in TVA/their reunion scene in QotD but I wouldn't be surprised if they couldn't be more than platonic ever again. I just reread ILY to catch up after not reading in two years and I cannot believe the post 200 chapters are even better than when ILY was in its heyday popularity-wise. I’m desperately trying to get all my friends to catch up again so I have someone to talk to about it, I read all the Reddit posts, and I’ve seen so many of your responses and it just tickles my brain in a certain way. I can’t believe it’s been 6 years and we are FINALLY getting some canon confirmation of romantic feeling between Shine Ae and Nol. I don’t know what to do with myself! Oh man, I know that feeling of just trying soooo hard to get your friends to catch up lmao. Everyone has to get to it when they are in the right mood but when you are living with constant ILY Brainrot, it just feels like any time you have to wait is TOO LONG lmao (which is why I wind up howling on the reddit and over here lmao). So I TOTALLY get it! lmao sometimes you just have to find everything you can to read and consume it all and pretend it is enough (but it's NEVER enough). But also aahhhh thank you!!!! But man YEAH!!!!! The story has definitely been nudging us about their feelings - what was 151 if not a very not platonic break up that really made it feel SO REAL. I keep thinking about this, how I can't remember when I started shipping it or when it went from casual to Oh I CARE but 151 was absolutely the episode that made me go "Holy shit are we GOING THERE?" and my god we were GOING there I cannot believe it! And there's so many simultaneous plot lines running right now and I want to eat them all up at once but we can only get so much per episode and AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

At the time of 151 I thought there was a VERY REAL possibility that the core trio were all going to go their separate ways and that the catalyst for the timeskip story picking back up would be that they were all coming back into each others' lives, but SO MUCH has happened since then that has changed my feelings. Isn't it funny how, right, the post 200 episodes have been SO INCREDIBLE SO good, giving us SO MUCH good content and it has completely changed the state of the story from that time! Frankly, I thought if Nol and Shinae were ever going to realize feelings, it wasn't going to happen until after the timeskip so frankly? I have been completely blindsided lmao

My main thought lately is that there must be some kind of resolve, right? Because if we were going to go my previously thought route, that they will all go their separate ways and then come back into each other's lives and that would have been a trigger for Nol and Shinae to realize their feelings, we wouldn't have had all of this - Nol ultimately unable to stay away taking that step taking a chance with Shinae, the entirety of what has transpired in that hospital room, the way he doesn't shy away from or deny that there was something romantic going on (he could have SO EASILY said Dieter got the wrong impression if he wanted to deny the feelings right?), this revelation of how important they are to each other, Shinae's continued fight for him. So I think we WILL get some kind of closure here regarding that. We are RIGHT on the cusp of Shinae coming face to face with her feelings, I think. Nol is already there and it feels like Shinae is dancing around it.

Will she run away from her feelings? Will she get freaked out and suddenly shy, unsure how to face him? Would she be more forthright, determined as ever wanting to talk to him, to voice this, to feel out where they belong in each others' lives? I think whether or not she gets freaked out by her feelings, that it has to go that way - talking about it, admission. Clearly a relationship is not.... you know. The most possible right now lol. Dieter is hurt, Nol still has a girlfriend, AND he's off to jail, but I don't think admitting feelings means they have to jump into anything or even apply labels. I still think it's very likely Nol will leave the country for university, because frankly, I think he NEEDS to get away, but we still stand to see how that's going to play out following the first time skip.

But I think we will, at the very least, see them acknowledge their feelings, acknowledge where they stand in each others' lives. I firmly feel like if Nol didn't want to, if he was willing to walk away, he would have done so, and he would have downplayed why Dieter is so hurt. It would be so easy for him to keep playing his cupid friend role, to tell her that Dieter seems to have misinterpreted their dance, poor buddy, don't worry, I'll talk to him. But instead, he acknowledged what exists between them. And I think once Shinae understands her feelings, she will use them to fight even harder for him, to further insist why they can't throw any of this away, that they're too important to each other to give it up.

In which case, I like to hope that maybe this would be a big, first step for them towards any kind of future. Even if Nol is leaving, that doesn't mean that things stagnate. As one of those people who brings Nol comfort, who always sees him, I think Shinae would be the complete opposite of what he's had with Alyssa thus far - someone who actually reaches out, who checks in, who makes time, who keeps up with him. Idk! I'm still very.... you know, feeling things out because quimchee is SO good at blindsiding me, but right now I guess I hope that we will at the very least have Shinae and Nol acknowledge their feelings but more importantly understand the place they have in each others' lives, that way when we have our big time skip, it won't be like they're stranger reuniting with each other, there won't be this big scar between them from unresolved hurt.

More than anything I want to see Nol and Shinae operating as a team by the time we reach the start of our time skip. I want to see them as two equals who are united together against their shared enemy, who have each others' backs. I don't want to keep seeing Nol push people away because he thinks it will protect him, I want him to WORK WITH her and know that they are safer and stronger TOGETHER than isolated and manipulated the way they have been. That's what is so important about acknowledging their feelings - whether or not they start a relationship, it's more important that they (and by that I mean NOL lmao) acknowledge that they stand more risk if they aren't united. There's nothing he can do to change Yui's interest in Shinae, it's too late. So I want to see them have that conversation, the one Shinae started - that she deserves to get a say, that he can't just decide how their relationship goes because he's trying to protect her, that it has nothing to do with HIM and everything to do with HER. I want to see them acknowledge how much they mean to each other and how much they need each other, because neither of them REALLY knows how terrible Yui is.

Do I think they'll get there? I'm not 100% sure BUT it's what I'm hoping we'll see and where we'll see them standing as that time skip begins! One thing I REALLY hope is that Nol WILL read the letters in the Bible, get a glimpse at what Rand and Nessa's relationship was like, remind him that Shinae doesn't deserve that, that he deserves better, too. I need him to see that pushing her away lets Yui win, leaves him stranded and isolated. Choose to let himself be loved for once, pls ;~;
